Alyona Miller (Turning Pointe, Second Position, Finding Center) has been called the ephemeral princess of American ballet, responsible for reviving it into the public consciousness. After her stint at Philadelphia Ballet, she took some time off–as documented in Second Position–and returned to the stage as a District Ballet Company principal dancer. When she’s not on the stage, she’s helping her better half Zed Harrow with his theatre students. And of course, she’s–well, we better not spoil Finding Center for you!
Sofia Estrada (first seen in Finding Center; stay tuned for exciting news coming soon!) was born in Havana, Cuba, and danced with the Cuban National Ballet until she left for Ballet!Miami, a contemporary ballet company. She joined District Ballet Company at its founding and has danced as a principal dancer since then. Though plagued by injuries, Sofia’s looking forward to this upcoming season and finally getting what she wants. Exciting things coming for Sofia!
Madison Dahl (first seen in Finding Center) was born and raised in Silver Spring, so she didn’t stray far from home to join District Ballet Company! She prides herself on her jumps in particular, and the Washington Star called her dancing “earned arrogance”. We’re excited to see how this young dancer grows into herself, and the things she wants from life.
